WorkSafe BC Coverage

Appointments for WorkSafeBC accepted claims are fully covered with no cost to the injured worker.

An active WorkSafeBC claim has 6 visits, within the first 8 weeks from the date of the accident/injury.

Book an initial visit for 1 hour. Subsequent visits are 30-45 minutes in length.

Key Guidelines

In order for a treatment to be fully covered these guidelines must be followed:

• The injured worker must have an accepted.
• A doctor’s referral is required for you to begin treating an injured worker.
• An initial assessment and up to six treatments is provided, within the first eight weeks from the date of injury without pre-approval.
• An injured worker cannot receive concurrent treatment for the same injury.
• Approval is required for any treatment beyond eight weeks.
• Only the area of injury accepted on the claim can be treated.
• Treatment time is at the discretion of the RMT for what is clinically appropriate for the injury on the accepted claim.  
• Only one treatment per day is allowed.
